S3 Ep 4 : Life's too Short to Have a Terrible Relationship with Exercise with Chloe Sutton
*******Movement Mini Series********
Welcome to the third episode in our Movement Mini Series. It's peak 'New Year New You' / New Year's Resolution Season and the diet culture vultures are out in force. So we thought it the perfect time to provide another perspective.
In this series we speak with 5 wonderful Australian Fitness Professionals to provide some support in navigating movement.
Today we speak with Chloe Sutton, Personal Trainer and Founder of The Selfcare Sisterhood. We hear about the positive impact the Movement made on Chloe's Chronic Health Conditions and how that led her to a career in the fitness industry. We touch on the barriers to practicing in a weight inclusive way, the harms done in the fitness industry, and the limited knowledge that most personal trainers have once they get their certification. Chloe is passionate about not staying 'surface level' with body positivity but continuing to dig and learn (and unlearn) the roots of fatphobia and how it relates to other forms of oppression such as racism.
